About me

Harriet Meyer

01
20+ years in journalism

I began my journalism career back in 2002 on The Daily Telegraph’s Money team before moving to the BBC, where I worked as a producer of popular radio shows Wake Up to Money and the Today programme.

Since then, I've edited The Observer’s ‘Cash’ section and written for a huge range of national newspapers, magazines and websites.

As a trusted industry expert, I’ve appeared on radio, television, and podcasts to help audiences get to grips with topical money issues.

I’ve won national awards for “cutting through the jargon” around complex subjects such as pensions and investments.

Fascinated by AI

I started dabbling with generative AI a few years ago, driven by fear of being replaced by speedy machine brains.

The pace of change has been extraordinary. I've spent hours learning about AI every day to stay ahead. That curiosity led to a new role as an AI trainer and creator of AI for Media.

I'm now on a mission to help media professionals use these tools with confidence. I provide bespoke training to newsrooms, content teams, and PR professionals on how and when to use this tech ethically and effectively.

My ever-growing knowledge of AI enables me to guide teams on how to fit AI into every stage of their workflow, from research and pitching through to the brief and publication.

Beyond the byline

When I’m not working, I’m running, doing yoga or planning holidays I can’t quite justify.

I live in South West London with my partner and two giant British Shorthair cats, Eric and Geoffrey, who take up most of the furniture (and all of the attention).
