Harriet Meyer

Journalist and trainer
I'm an award-winning personal finance editor, journalist and copywriter with more than 20 years’ experience across national newspapers, magazines and websites.
I’m known for cutting through jargon and turning complex subjects such as pensions and investments into plain English. That approach has earned national awards and spots on radio, television and podcasts, where I explain topical money issues to wider audiences.
I now work as the banking and small business editor for Times Money Mentor and contribute to The Guardian, The Sunday Times and The Sun, among other publications.
Corporate teams and start-ups also hire me to create sharp, well-researched copy that speaks directly to their customers.
Alongside writing, I run hands‑on AI workshops for journalists, content teams and PR professionals, showing how to streamline workflows without losing accuracy or trust.
Earlier roles include editing The Observer's 'Cash' section, reporting for The Daily Telegraph's Money desk and producing business and money slots on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me running, practising yoga or planning the next trip. I live in South West London with my partner and two giant British Shorthair cats, Eric and Geoffrey.
